What Exactly is Permanent Jewelry?

Permanent jewelry, as the name suggests, isn’t your ordinary necklace, anklet or bracelet. It’s jewelry meant to be worn all the time that you never take off, even while sleeping, showering, or exercising. Unlike traditional jewelry, permanent pieces are clasp-less and welded to fit perfectly and stay on until you decide otherwise.

Do I need an appointment to get permanent jewelry?

An appointment is highly recommended to save your spot, but we are happy to accommodate walk-ins! Please schedule your appointment here.

How is Hermosa Links different than other permanent jewelers?

Many other permanent jewelers use Gold Filled or Sterling Silver jump rings in their pieces because it's a low-cost option. The problem with this, is that the metal underneath is exposed durig the welding process creating a spot where tarnishing can easily occur. To eliminate this, we only weld our permanent jewelry with high quality, pure 10K and 14K gold jump rings.

What metals do you use for the permanent bracelets, anklets, and necklaces?

We use 14k solid yellow gold, sterling silver, 14k gold filled yellow and rose gold and stainless steel for your permanent jewelry - so there's something for everyone.

We recommend the solid gold options for durability, shine and the least amount of maintenance, however we will discuss the best metal choices for you based on your lifestyle and desires.

How long will my permanent jewelry stay on?

Your pieces will stay on for as long as you'd like! If for some reason you would like to remove your jewelry, simply cut the jump ring with nail clippers or scissors and save the chain if you'd like me to re-weld it in the future.

What if my chain breaks?

Chains can get caught or snagged on things, kids grab and accidents happen. We get it! If your piece breaks, please save your chain and we will be happy to re-weld it for you at no cost.

If you no longer have the chain, then a new chain will need to be purchased.

Who should not get permanent jewelry?

Those with pacemakers should not get permanent jewelry because of the welding process.

Allergies to solid gold, sterling silver, and gold fill are rare, but those with allergies to these metals should not get permanent jewelry.

Can I go through airport security with permanent jewelry?

Absolutely! TSA does not ask you to remove fine jewelry, so you'll be able to take your permanent jewelry with you on all your adventures.

Can I get an MRI with a permanent bracelet, anklet, or necklace?

You may be asked to remove your permanent jewelry before an MRI. Be sure to clip it at the jump ring and save your chain so we can re-weld it for you at no cost.

Can I hire you for my next event?

Yes, we would love to help you celebrate your special event with a permanent jewelry party!

I'm a minor. Can I get a piece of permanent jewelry?

I'm happy to weld a permanent bracelet, anklet, or necklace on anyone aged 13 or olds. Those under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Can I give permanent jewelry as a gift?

Absolutely! I would recommend purchasing a gift card for the desired amount here.
